While many of us may think of Thanksgiving as a United States and Canadian celebration, the holiday is widely celebrated across the globe as a “Harvest Festival” and a time for everyone to be thankful for a bountiful season.  Our nation’s First Thanksgiving was celebrated by the Pilgrims after their first harvest in the New World in October 1621 and, to this day, it remains an important reminder to give thanks for our many blessings.  Personally, it’s always an opportunity to thank my parents for teaching me character, integrity and persistence. Character means following through on our words and promises, integrity is how we work when no one is looking and persistence is always finishing what you started despite the obstacles. I believe these core values have shaped me as a husband, father, friend and entrepreneur - and I’m very grateful to be surrounded by wonderful people who reciprocate similar life lessons and accountability.

Over the months and years, I often reflect on the responsibility and amount of care it requires to manage a person’s life savings.  During the challenging times (like in 2008 and 2009) and periods of personal doubt, many of you confided how important I was to you and your family and remained steadfast supporters.  You were there for me when I needed you most. That is what I am most thankful for in my family, friendship, business and life.

Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday season.

Best Regards,
Jack
